Cultural-historical relevance is one thing, but I gave up on reading any more ~Classics~ when I realised that of the fifteen I'd read (for curriculum or because I felt obligated to my IQ to read more than JUST the curriculum), there was only one I actually enjoyed even slightly.

And the one I kinda enjoyed was Wuthering Heights. Which everyone else I've talked to hated. *SIGH*
