If I'm going to be negative about something I tend to do it in my own journal or in a comm like this where people discuss all sorts of aspects of various fandoms. I don't go jump in my friends' journals and start trying to harsh their squee. Sometimes if I come across a post that invites a critique of the source material, I will chime in with negative comments, but never of the "how can you like this dreck, you idiot!" variety.

I come across this a lot on my friends' list because much of my flist is still loving SPN, and I am finding it unbearably ridiculous and sad. I've posted episode reviews to my own journal, but I haven't gone into my friends' squeeful review posts and stomped all over the parade. At least, I hope I haven't. :( In general, I just don't comment at all (made even easier by not having watched any of the eps since hiatus ended). I'm glad my friends can still find something to love about the show and frankly a bit envious since I spent solidly happy years with it. I wish I could get that feeling back.
