Swedish televised media subs everything, except for things aimed at children and other made in our language. Which means that I can't help, but scoff a little when people say that "reading subs is too hard!" Sorry.

FTR, it's not "too hard" it literally causes me pain, especially in some of the more frenetic shows.

pretty sure metal_equine means "too hard" as in "I can't be assed", not as in "I have a genuine reason that isn't laziness"

Exactly. Ftr, I usually turn on the English subtitles when I watch most new films, as I don't want to miss out on dialogue where it might be difficult to pick out and to use Swedish would be too much like cheating.

I will say this: EFL countries might have the biggest output and spread, but as far as consumption of foreign media, countries with a culture of subbing everything could be said to have the upper hand.
