I think he was more trickstery and chaotic in The Avengers than in Thor, but it's true that Hiddloki's just not as fantastic in chaos as the other guys I know in the secret. THEN AGAIN, he's a loser and everything backfires on him, and people just can't agree on whether he's a confused woobie or an evil douchecanoe, so it's funny how he's still a trickster in this meta level.
Comics!Marvel!Loki, especially the 616 ones, do the chaotic thing pretty well and are magnificent bastards. Still, I wish he had more balance and duality because he can be too extreme at times. When I compare most of them with other Lokis, I end up not liking them that much. The only Loki I've truly liked from the lot is Kid Loki (I mean in Journey into Mystery; in Young Avengers is still a wait-and-see...)
