One, there's nothing wrong with Paranormal Romance - like any genre, the books are only as good as the writer writing them.

Two, how would you prefer the writers to dress? Soccer mom style? Got news for you, I'm a 42 year old married for 19 years mom of TWO awesome rugrats and I've been dressing "goth" since the freakin' 80s.

If I were lucky enough to do a promo pic for the back of my as yet unwritten vampire porn novel, I'd dress all in black with my long hair flowing and my crosses gleaming just to piss you off.

*runs away cackling*

*fistbump* Seriously, when did we all have to stop doing/dressing/acting the way we want when we had kids or reached a certain age? Ridiculous. All of it.

Right? It's bad enough women are shoved into a box to begin with, but the more you age the more that damned box gets narrower and narrower.

I love Black Sabbath, AC/DC and, most of all, Metallica. But because I drive a Ford Focus with a car seat in the back and my hair up soccer mom style, I get such LOOKS from the kids these days when I'm playing Highway to Hell or ANYTHING by Korn or Tool too loud and my car thumps.

It's like, what? I didn't get old just because people born years after I graduated high school grew up.
