Dr. Who has never invaded my fandoms with its OTPs and ugly-ass heroes, so I don't particularly care if it's a bad fandom. They keep their horribleness among their own and for that I'm grateful.

I'm not just talking about "Elementary," where the invasion is explicable, if brain-damaged. Literally every active fandom on the internet that I've dabbled in right now.

NO ONE CARES. STAY IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD INSTEAD OF COMING INTO MINE AND YELLING HOW MUCH BETTER MY GAMES WOULD BE IF WE PLAYED WITH YOUR SUPERIOR BALLS. or something

While I admire your enthusiasm, I don't begrudge people for enjoying things they enjoy. I myself did enjoy "Sherlock" the show for what it was. I think. Long ago. Maybe it was just Andrew Scott.

Honestly it doesn't matter to me anymore how good or bad or ugly (and they ARE ugly) the show and its actors are. Fans gonna fan and that's fine. Just stay the fuck away from me with it. Stop bringing it to places that don't care and don't want it. Don't trail the fail.

the funny thing about this is that bbc's sherlock has so little actual canon to go on. this roman like urge to invade is based on so little.

i don't watch elementary, but i'm guessing even that show has produced more hours of canon at this point.
