Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but what exactly did you love about Amelia (I'm guessing Sam's girlfriend)? She was a horrendously unlikable character from the start.

I like what Amelia represents to Sam - the possibility of a happy, normal life. I also just liked her character and thought she was funny and a good match for Sam. In comparison, I found Benny's annoying and Benny and Dean's relationship boring.

You're not alone, OP. I also liked Amelia. And I could see where Dean would make a deal with Benny to get out of Purgatory, but I found their friendship after that just really unbelievable.

Out of curiosity, OP, do you have any general interest in relationships that Dean has outside of Sam? It sounds (and absolutely no insult or offense meant by this or discounting of your opinion) in the secret and in your comments in the thread that you're a Sam!girl and so it would make sense in that case that you'd like S7 (which was more Sam focused at least until 7.17) and be interested in the positive relationships that Sam has but not so interested in the ones that Dean might have.

Oh, I'm a Dean girl all the way, I just don't like Benny and happen to like Amelia. I also liked Bela and Jo, disliked Ruby and Lisa, and generally like Castiel but think his character has run its course, if that helps you construct your theories about me. Re: S7, I thought the Leviathans were compelling villains and that the writers slipped in some fun social/political commentary in there with Dick Roman and his master plan.
