Anon, are you me? I never thought I would be tired of Cas, but I'm *so* ready for him to just explode or something. His presence adds nothing to the show anymore.

But Benny, omg BENNY. The worst thing SPN has done in a long time was sideline that character. He was awesome, and a much more nuanced individual than we'd seen in a long time on that show. (And yes, the minute Benny showed up, I dropped my Dean/Cas shippery like a hot rock. Dean's chemistry with Benny? Uh-MAY-ziiiing.)

I agree with you so much about Benny. Best side character in a long time, and I don't get why he's so underused. I had hoped that he and Dean and Sam would meet up again, that we'd somehow get some interaction between Sam and Benny as well. I wanted Benny to become what Cas used to be around season 5, the guy who's pretty much the third lead.

And yes to Dean/Benny completely replacing Dean/Cas as the ship of choice. They fucking sizzle in every scene they have.

I like Cas but BENNY OMG. PLEASE BRING HIM BACK. The way they wrote him out made no sense at all. I mean, come on. SAM is going to throw a fit about the untrustworthy supernatural creature? Sam? The one who has been giving the benefit of the doubt time and time again from S1-S7?

And yeah, Dean and Benny had delicious chemistry. I ship them like burning.
