If they're reading PWP shipfic to get turned on (and a lot of genderbent stuff is PWP or M rated), I don't see what the big deal is. Some people get their kicks with slash, others with femslash, and others with het. It's kind of redundant to be like "OH YOU HAVE TO LIKE GAY PORN BEFORE YOU'RE ALLOWED TO GET AROUSED. OTHERWISE YOU'RE A BIGOT."

I say this as someone who enjoys femslash and het, but feels very little about slash.
