Yeah, but I actually like this outcome for myself.

I'm getting into a career where having a significant other would be really complicated in terms of balancing my work and social life, as well as being truthful about what I'm doing.

Plus I'm hoping it kills me off before I get old enough to retire and care about being alone.

I have really healthy future expectations, you guys.

What does make me wonder, is why you care who? You're anon yourself, so I'm not sure if you have an account, but don't want to be identified while asking someone to divulge themselves, or if you just don't have an account on DW.

Motives are v. important.

I have a bit of a self-sacrificing streak and I'm afraid no matter what job I end up doing, I'll hurt myself to protect other people including taking blame for things other people did

it makes me feel a bit better to know there are other people like me? not just a random anon who is all talk but someone with a name

I guess it's not really that important at the end of the day
