I mean Regina must have lived in Storybrooke for 18 year - before she adopted Henry. She had a lot of time to think about her life and her choices and her wrong-doings. I can only speculate on the reason she had for adopting him - but comparing the 'old' Regina to the 'new' Regina - there is no question that she has started to change. And I believe that she really wanted Henry as a child of her own, that she wanted someone she could place her trust in without being betrayed (like from her mother etc). I think just as she realizied what was happening - she panicked and started to cover things up - but what other choice did she have? None.

No - I would believe that the curse would prevent people from noticing. Henry would notice in time, sure, that some things were different, but, everybody seems to forget that he DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ELSE. He has nothing to compare - how can he come to the conclusion that 'his world' (Storybrooke) is wrong/different? He is ten! He lives there for his whole life. I repeat he is ten! It riddicules to say he'd notice that kind of things at that age.

Of course she is not the perfect parent. Not the best choice. But really who in that town is? Who has not murdered (whatever reason for)? AT least she tries and he's not suffered anything. He's a spolied kid. Regina behaved wrong as she wanted to keep him close - that's true but before he knew? He had no reason to complain.

And not every kid suffers bc the parents don't tell them everything. I guess there are a lot of parents who don't especially not at that age..

I think your arguments are really valid. I do think though that she has not been shown to be the best parent, but really I don't think there are a lot of options. Truth be told I kind of want Charming to have Henry for a bit. I think it would be for the best in the end, and he might be able to get some of the spoiled brattyness in Henry.

I think even if no one else noticed the Age issue, eventually there would have to come a time when Henry would really start to question/go insane over not knowing why he wasn't staying the same like everyone else. And why Bring a child into that sort of life, where he would eventually come to that is mind-boggling. I truly hope they explain why he is there at some point, because to me, it seems a little happy-coincidence at this point.

"New" Regina didn't change that much from old. Or did you forget the part where she killed Graham by oh yeah crushing his heart in her hand.

Then she turned around and used his death to manipulate other people.

I think the wibbly wobbly timey wimey town-out-of-time is probably one of the biggest holes in the entire show.

I agree about Henry having nothing to compare to. If it's always been that way for you, how do you notice anything different? The book could certainly have been the thing that tipped the scales and made Henry question why he was different.

He also seems rather isolated. Most of the people he seems to know are adults. When I was ten I absolutely did not notice that adults looked older than they did when I was seven or six, or five. Not to mention no one seems to have a good concept of time in the beginning except for Regina and Mr. Gold for obvious reasons, so no one around him was questioning the lack of change. The real questions are how school was handled and why other people didn't notice Henry changing. Did Henry go up in grades while the other kids stayed the same? I'm sure Regina made sure he actually got SOME schooling. How did she keep the teachers from noticing that only Henry was advancing?
