Re: Weird hair care question (maybe gross? dunno)
(Anonymous) 2013-02-22 06:20 am (UTC)(link)I've heard good things about the "no poo method" and even seen great results on people I know but I get that not everyone has the time to wait out weeks of gross looking hair.
possibly tmi about hair
(Anonymous) 2013-02-22 09:36 am (UTC)(link)I am going shampoo free and boy, do I hope it works D: I heard that it takes like two months for the hair to look normal again (I'm finishing week 3). is it true? it will stop looking all greasy and stuff eventually, right?
I'm following the method someone suggested on a forum that goes: every day scratch your scalp to, er, loosen the oils/grease (there's no way to describe it that doesn't sound gross D:); brush your hair with a good bristled hair brush to distribute the oils well; wash as needed with water. the person who tried it said that it worked and that by week 9 or so it looked and smelled clean again. myself, I've seen some sort of back and forth kind of progress?? ah well
