I thought her crying when she thought her mom had to stay a bear was some of the worst animation I've ever seen. I have a hard time even looking at it.

Oddly enough, this

has the worst animated crying I've seen. It's hilarious how she keeps... shrinking every time she cries.

It's based off of shadow puppets I'm pretty sure. Shadow puppets have to move around in order to convey emotion, since they are static figures. The
shrinking (which I think is actually just parts of her body being moved down and in) is supposed to convey huffing and sobbing.

yeah, that didn't bother me nearly as much as Merida's terrible facial expressions
