I can't wait to rent The Pirates! and watch it again so I can pause it and look at all the background gags. They show some of them again during the end credits, but there's dozens of them. If you're a Doctor Who fan, you may find David Tennant's voice distractingly familiar though, because he uses the exact same accent as he did as the Doctor.

I liked Wreck It Ralph more than I was expecting to. They kept the story pretty tightly focused, and didn't have a ton of extraneous characters each with their own subplot (I'm looking at you Princess & the Frog). WIR also has a lot of background gags, come to think of it. I'm not a big gamer like most of the people I saw it with, but you don't need to be to enjoy it- the gaming references are a bonus, not a major plot requirement.
