PCs ain't consoles. Sorry.

And I used to spend upwards of 5 hours a day on the bus. What's your point?

I think their point is that it's pretty easy to tuck the book you've been reading into your backpack or purse to continue reading on the train on your way to work, or a smartphone to catch up on TV shows, but you can't do the same thing with the PS3 game you've been playing.

Sure, yeah, okay, this is obvious.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-24 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Then why do you say IN MORE THAN ONE PLACE something to the effect of "if you have the time to read a book you have the time to play a video game" when it's obviously not true?

Because hey -- you can play video games on your phone and shit. I had a 5 hour bus commute every fucking day for two years. I also had a Gameboy. I may be splitting hairs a bit, but what I said is technically true.

This thread is pretty much a waste of everyone's time though so I'm gonna disengage here.

to be fair there are tons of games you can tuck away just as easily - if not more so - than a book. i don't particularly agree with the arguments being put on the table here but games are a lot more accessible than they used to be.

If you have the money for a smartphone that plays videos, you could have had a console instead. :/ lol

I see the point about the book, but this really, really doesn't apply to TV shows.
