Honestly somebody 'dating' a fictional character at any age is possible, but I think it also depends on internet access. If you weren't exposed to fandom at early on...then certain social cues are harder to pick up on.

Yeah, calling bullshit. Internet access wasn't available to me until I was 16 myself, and I still knew that pretending you were dating a fictional character was fucking stupid and pathetic unless you were ten or younger (even twelve is pushing it, sorry).
