Okay...? Everyone has different tastes, OP.

(That said, I don't think I'll ever understand Technophile's reasoning when it comes to what constitutes as a secret.)

Yeah, I recally seeing that too, it just... doesn't make sense to me. I've seen a lot of secrets in the failbar that I personally felt shouldn't have been there, and vice versa (prime example right here). But oh well, it's not for me to question anyway.

Nothing's confusing about it. I simply meant that I don't understand why it would be included in the first place, instead of going to the failbar.

It's a secret. It's not complex or terribly original, but it is a opinion on a fandom topic. The only reason I could see it going tot he failbar is if you made the argument that it's the opposite side of the banned "I'd hit it" type of secrets. But so far "I think they're ugly" secrets are still allowed.

I'm... really not confused, though. I'm not sure why you're acting offended (OP maybe?), but my comment really wasn't directed towards the secret itself -- it was more of a general FANDOMSECRETS HOW DOES IT WORK.

F!S is so hard up for secrets since the lj move and the publication time debacle that it needs every secret it can get. Move back to lj!

Give it a rest, anon. We've been on DW for months now, and the community is smaller, but still active and thriving.

Its dying slowly and by inches. What does it take to get you guys to admit this was a bad move? Hit the undo button while the community is still big enough to make a comeback from.

It's because any time Disney is mentioned and Aladdin is mentioned, there are hardly ever any people who express a dislike for his looks. Most are flailing over him and saying he's hot. OP probably was afraid to admit that for fear of being dogpiled.

Cuz Disney is srs bzns yo.

Why is it a secret? Thinking someone's ugly is nbd, particularly thinking Aladdin is ugly.

Secrets don't have to seem like a big deal to you, just something that the OP feels like they have to keep a secret or is afraid to talk about etc. They're just fandom opinions that are kept secret/anonymous for whatever reason.

Yeah, but why would this need to be kept a secret? Are we not allowed to just have opinions anymore? This isn't particularly scandalous.

If someone can't openly say they think a cartoon character from the '90s is full of fug, I don't even know what to say. :<

I'm not OP so can't say for sure, but I keep a lot of really stupid shit secret because I have ridic anxiety and any opinion that matters or I think will be ill received I tend to keep close and it blows up to this Thing. It's dumb because nobody cares but me, but it's still a big deal, you know?

I dunno. From what I hear, there's quite the subculture of having the hots for Disney characters, so having this opinion, in the wrong circles, could be seen as quite offensive.
