It's my undestanding that saying anything to the Sherlock fandom is suicidal, even other shows' season premieres.

I'm kidding (mostly). XD What's this scene about?

Sadly, you're not very far from the truth. God, do I wish fandoms had more self-irony and more understanding of what might be funny (deliberately or otherwise) in the canon. Instead they go with stupid hedgehog jokes and are prepared to murder everybody who walks onto the grounds of the unconventional.

That being said, I did not find that scene funny (why is it?).

The most vocal part of the fandom being both >20yo and on Tumblr explains the melodramatics. At least I hope that's the explanation.

The scene is not comedic funny it is funny as in so so so so bad it wraps back around to being the funniest thing to ever hit the air. The continuity gaffe mentioned upthread irks me as well: The "solar system" exchange having been lifted directly from Canon, the "mind palace" thing.......not.

But come on, you most definitely need to label what premiere you're talking about, because if you don't add anything you are obviously talking about Sherlock, not your puny, lesser show. At least that's what I gather.

Is this a reference to that poor girl who got dogpiled by Sherlock fandom for announcing the Teen Wolf S3 premiere date without saying explicitly within the post (but rather in the tags) that she was talking about Teen Wolf? I have never facepalm'd so hard at Sherlock fandom.
