Though real answer? Some people WISH they could be those douchebags. They project their issues onto them, and see their ostriziation as the source of their attitude, when it's usually the other way around. So they find themselves wishing they could at least have that ability to "give some back" like they perceive these folks as doing.

Can't comment on any of the depicted characters except Eridan, but he's a) thirteen and b) ugly (though he would probably be less so if he stopped scowling). I just like him because I think he's funny. And, let's be honest, I enjoy watching him suffer.

How can you tell if any of the Homestuck characters are attractive or ugly? From what I've seen, the art style in the comic itself is pretty minimalistic.
