I don't have any. Oddly enough, I either accept the entire canon with all its questionable lines or do not accept it at all.

It's not even about "forgiving" things, it's that I start to feel about the bad parts like I feel about the flaws of some generally good person. Sometimes they only make this person sweeter; even if they don't, without them a human being would turn into a freaking spiritual goody. Not exactly a kind of thing one wants to happen to their friends.

OMG you just described exactly what my feelings towards Doctor Who are way better than all my previous attempts. It's not that I like the badness or think it's good, it's that I like the fact that the badness is there and IS bad and yet the show has plenty of untainted goodness left over.
