I don't even really like iCarly, but I remember watching it with my little brother one time, and the following exchange occurred:

Spencer: Where were you?

Carly: I were upstairs.

*laughing track plays*

I was so full of rage that I had to leave the room, and I swore never to watch that show again. It was already pretty shitty to begin with, but if I could remove any line, it would be that one.

Because the fucking writers weren't even trying! I mean, sure it's a shitty show, but they could at least make some half-assed attempt at humor. That kind of shit doesn't warrant a laugh track. It's not even a joke!

I swear to God all the writers for kid shows are high when they write the scripts.

You mean the "deliberately using incorrect grammar = funny!" gag? iCarly does that all the time, and it is annoying, I agree. But I'm curious, what made that time worse to you than the other ones?

I hadn't watched that many episodes, so I had never witnessed this gag before. I was used to their stupid random shit = funny thing, but I had never seen the "incorrect grammar" gag before, and that was the last straw for me.
