The "mewling quim" bit from the Avengers. It didn't bother me personally, but hot damn did it cause a lot of wank and make Avengers fandom unpleasant for a while. :/

Oh, it did at that. I remembering wondering what a quim was during the movie; boy, when I got home and on the 'net, did I get an education! I stayed far away from fandom except for reading fics and commenting on them b/c of that fandom explosion.
