Norway, and about 13 years of formal English education...

Pretty close to: qupoon possibly cupoon.

If I could remember all the pronunciation writing thing I could spell it out, but I don't. Damn it is hard to write how you pronounce words in your second language...

*I can't for the life of me remember what it is in English in Norwegian it is: SoundWriting. The thing in the dictionary that tells you how to pronounce words....

Yeah, if it is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Phonetic_Alphabet

I learnt to write and read it in school, I can still read it, but I don't think I can write it any more.

SoundWriting = IPA? (International Phonetic Alphabet) Here's the wiki page for it.

My dictionary's dialectical pronunciation shows this: |ˈk(y)oōˌpän|
And its IPA shows this: |ˈk(j)uˌpɑn|

Thank you! I actually bothered to find the damn translation for it in the comment above this...

I will find my dictionary! And just as Top Gear: I was ambitious but rubbish. Did find my "Oxford concise dictionary of world religions" though, which uses IPA, but not helpful...

And rereading your comment, I pronounce Coupon basically as the dictionary says.
