It doesn't help that I know a fair bit about one of them and that person both skeeves me out and pisses me off. So. Maybe I'm biased, I dunno, but it seems like any time they show up in my world, someone's creaming their pants over their mediocre music.
Is it the dress-up? Backstories? Fuck, I don't get it.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-26 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)Everyone has their own taste in music, so I fail to see why this is so baffling to you. I don't like hip-hop or thrashing guitars but I can accept that others do.
I love SPG's music. It has a bluegrass/folk feeling to it, albeit without the country twang. The lyrics are easy to understand and fun to sing along with, and the harmonies are lovely. I adore the concept of the robots, the make-up and character personalities, and the backstory world they created. Watching/listening to them makes me happy in times when few other things will. I adore them.
The "Fanmily," on the other hand...*facepalm* I know that I am not the only rational adult in their fanbase, but seeing as their online fandom consists mostly of Tumblr teenies screaming for attention, if often feels that way.
