Save everything!

A couple years ago, one of the best writers in MCR fandom took down all her fic - and I hadn't saved anything.

I recently discovered that two amazing multi-chapter LOTR fics I loved have been removed by the author - and I hadn't saved.

Damn me.

If you can find the links, try archive.org or, for the recent one, the google cache method. Or, I'm sure there are LOTR fic-finder sites where you can ask if anyone has copies.

The Wayback Machine doesn't work with LJs, does it? All these fics I missed saving were on LJ. *sigh*

Some links do, some links don't. You won't know until you try.

I don't think so, but if you google the lj link, you might be able to pick up the cached page, and just save it from there. (Let me know if you want help.)
