Tumblr, ontd_p, sf_d, etc got to you, didn't they?

Disliking female characters =/= internal misogyny. It does only when you hate them for being female or because you think they're some how interfering with your epic slash. That last thing is usually the reason, which is just silly.

And then on the other side, if you dislike a female character or how she's written and you happen to slash her canon love interest with somebody else, you're "just a butthurt slash fan" and you obviously can't just be annoyed at how she's being handled :| I'm rather sick of my opinion being dismissed out of hand simply because I prefer a different pairing (that I know is not canon and never will be and therefore have no reason to go out of my way to attack the canon love interest when I'm rewriting everything else anyway!).

THIS, especially when you ship the slash pairing BECAUSE you dislike the canon pairing and not the other way around.

No, I don't hate the lead female character because I slash the lead guy with someone else, I slash the lead guy with someone else because I don't like the lead girl.
