I tried to make a really awful metaphor about shit and chocolate and how sometimes people dismiss something as shit when it's actually chocolate, but well. Yes. It was terrible.

I think people are used to dismissing female characters and don't necessarily spend much time thinking about them so maybe there are more well written female characters than you might think if you just give them a chance.

Pretty much. A lot of fans wouldn't spot a well written female character if she was jumping up and down in front of them and waving her arms.

(Uh. Not the best metaphor either but I'm still on my first cup of tea...)
