Re: Sappy scenes that make you cry

I'm a complete sucker for most scenes people deride as sappy. The only time sappiness gets on my nerves is if it's long and repetitive -- if it's short and intense, it can be the most saccharine cliched goop in the world and I'll still eat it up like ice cream.

One in particular: the end of Return of the Jedi. I guess a lot of people called it sappy, but IDGAF, it was the best ending ever as far as I'm concerned.
