Wow, that's moving fast! I would be sure to talk to your husband about it, first. Just because it's a good idea to let your family know when you're going to have a surgical procedure done, then get in touch with your doctor and be sure you ask him/her every question you can think of beforehand. It's always better to go into these things informed.
