It would indeed be silly, and I'll agree with you on homophobic because that's the standard term for prejudice against homosexuality although there doesn't seem to be any phobia involved.

Is "being interested in unlimited animated boobs and asses" a negative quality? I would say yes. (Others might argue, but let's set that aside for the sake of this discussion.)

Is assuming something negative about an entire gender sex discrimination? Yes. It's practically in the definition. (Assuming something positive would also be sex discrimination.)

It is, therefore, negative sexism directed at men. I consider this to fall under the heading of "misandry". What do you think misandry is supposed to be? Because "negative opinions about all men (and only men)" exists, and I'm not sure how you can argue it doesn't.

I hate those kinds of endings. I remember watching a Swedish show when I was a kid that ended with all the characters except two or three dying when someone's insane ex-husband showed up and blew himself and everyone else up (at Christmas or something, I think). I just... why? Why make the audience feel bad right at the end? It just spoils the entire memory of a show for me.

I believe in equal rights meaning fighting the problem, not just spitting it back at the other side. on my time here I'm seen sexist men but I'm also seen sexist women who said things like "erection doesn't equal consent? too fucking bad" and one IIRC even write an article claiming that male children shouldn't be pitied if they're sexually abused because ALL MEN WANT IT" Granted they are extreme SJWs and not the majority. But it still made me realized that both of these attitudes are equally terrible and equally disgusting.

Let's actually fight the idea behind sexism that one gender is superior to the other or that one gender would "deserve" abuse.

The problem with RTD's whole big tragedy idea is that for a tragedy to actually feel tragic instead of frustrating or predictable, you have to first give some tangible hope to then get crushed by means that follow logically.

So if they'd had another season (or hell, even compressed more character development into the one season they had), and Donna hadn't gotten screwed out of everything meaningful to her like that, and the Doctor had successfully gotten over some of his demons, and then they went for the big tragedy and IDK, had Donna die epically or something and had all the Doctor's character development unravel due to that trauma and set him up to crash and burn on Mars, that would have been tragic.

But yeah, how it all actually ended was like "what, are you kidding me??" and made me feel like RTD cared more about his agenda and ideas than his characters. Which was doubly disappointing because one of the things I always loved about RTD was that even when his writing was tone-deaf or shitty, he always, always seemed to love his characters.
