And then once it feels like it's been too long since I've been in touch with them, I also feel increasingly guilty about not contacting them sooner, until eventually just thinking about them makes me feel sick with guilt and anxiety. And so I just don't even try because it feels too overwhelming. Sorry. :(
There's a reason my best (and currently only) friend is the one who's most persistent about keeping in contact with the people he knows/knew.
