It wasn't until I saw the name here that I actually remembered and started singing IINSYFA.

Would that I could.

I don't understand why the NS is marked as such. Secrets about bands/artists get published all the time.

I think it's because it's not stated as an opinion?

Yeah things put in the NS bar are put there because of wording.

It's worded as a fact. If they had put the words "I think" in front of it, it probably would have been published.

I wonder why that matters. It was obviously an opinion...

idk I liked Hands All Over and It Won't Be Soon Before Long well enough. I wouldn't even go so far as to say that Songs About Jane was their best album, because there are some tracks I didn't like and some tracks in other albums that I preferred over some tracks in Songs About Jane. I don't think Overexposed reached their usual standards though, I was a teensy bit disappointed by that.

On the other hand, yay a Maroon 5 secret not focusing on Adam! They're one of my fav bands negl <3

That Maroon 5 CD always reminds me of a Harry/Draco fan vid my friend loved and would show me again and again and again. I didn't ship H/D, but I liked the song.

This is the crappy youtube version I could find of the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlPXfULR6TU

Bands are like TV shows; they start off at the top of the hill and then roll down until only the people who don't mind the smell are still watching/listening.

/start two cents

Being a strong independent woman doesn't mean you always have to be "in charge, on top" ... in the same way that feminism isn't about man-hating, or female chauvinism, or any of the other stuff people might slap on it.

In my opinion, it's about CHOICE. Having the freedom and the right to CHOOSE what you do with your mind and body and life.

Feminism was a response to women being told they didn't have a choice: They were told to stay home, wear frilly pink clothes, learn to give good BJs (and never even think to ask for sexual satisfaction in return, because "good girls" didn't do that). They were discouraged from taking things like math and science in school and ,well, I could go on and on, because I was there. But The bottom line here is .. imo, feminism should be just as much about allowing a woman to have the freedom to choose the more "traditional and stereotyped feminine role" IF SHE WANTS TO as it is about making a space where a women can reject those roles IF SHE WANTS TO.

/end of two cents

I agree with all this

That said, OP, if you are genuinely afraid for whatever reason about getting into an abusive relationship, these are the things therapists are for; having someone to bounce back the ideas that scare you with but with a dosage of neutrality can put things into perspective
