If you want to start wearing make up, you could always go to a department store make up counter or have someone like a Mary Kay rep visit you. They tend to be really good at determining the best kinds of make up for you features and how you should wear them. It isn't the same for everyone and make up should highlight your features, not obscure them. Poorly applied cosmetics have the exact opposite effect as the one you're going for.
