Things you appreciate that aren't from your fandom?

Just as the title says! Pretty much specific stuff you like from a fandom or fandoms that isn't yours.

For instance, there's a lot of video game music that I listen to from games I have no intention of playing. More specifically, I think a lot of the fanart from Adventure Time and Homestuck tends to be pretty great even though I have no idea what's going on.

I love watching people squee over fandoms I'm not in and don't know anything about. It gives me warm fuzzies to see people happy when I know I don't know enough to disagree with their opinions, and it's tremendously fun to try to figure out what they're talking about from an outsider's perspective.

I'm apparently the only one, though. Everyone always seems to hate it when other fans in their proximity squee over fandoms that they're not in, which totally baffles me.

Personally, the thing that annoys me most is overzealous, everything-reminds-them-of-their-fandom derailing. Not fan squee, per se, but feeling like my spaces have been subjected to an obsessive, "one subject, all the time" takeover.

The fanart for Adventure Time is amazing! But if I could wish for anything in that fandom I would wish for more fic.

I am envious of the amount of fanvids the Sherlock fandom has. I wish Community had half as many gen and Troy/Abed fanvids.

I really like seeing the different interpretations of the assorted MLP ponies at cosplay meetups at conventions. Never watched an episode, but know many of the characters by osmosis, and the creativity of the cosplayers is just really cool.

I've been listening to MLP fanmusic because someone told me that I would like the song Nightmare Night and then everyone started reccing me pony music and there's some really good stuff out there. And I ship Bubbline. I am in neither of these fandoms and have actually never seen an episode of Adventure Time.
