Not everyone. It's entirely possible to not find him funny and not be offended by his style of humor. Awards shows like this should have comedians whose humor is more universal. Seth McFarlane has long been a niche comedian and with the lackluster everything else about the Oscars this year, there wasn't a major draw for most people to watch.
