I still wear leggings under skirts and shorts all the time, which I don't think anyone has done since like 2006....

You're good, that's still a thing.

Maybe not leggings under shorts, but definitely under skirts. Considering how convenient they are, I certainly hope they're not out of fashion.

Leggings (and tights) under shorts is a pretty major thing in Japan, she can come out here...

Huh, I don't see it very much where I live, and I get comments from people asking why I dress this way all the time.

Me too! (Except not shorts; I haven't worn shorts in years and years.)

There's also the mid-90s version - leggings and a mid-thigh-length baggy t-shirt. I grew up pretty much wearing that.

You kidding? I live in England, can't go 10 feet without seeing some chick wearing leggings. They usually layer them up with skirts/shorts in the winter seasons too. They've been a big fashion statement here for a while.

Sometimes I see people wearing leggings by themselves (Which I don't wear, because I'm self-conscious about my huge butt... sorry if that's TMI XD), but I rarely see people wear them with shorts and skirts anymore. Especially not knee-length-or-longer skirts, which is what I usually wear. I live in Hawaii, so maybe it's because the layering-for-warmth isn't necessary here? XD

I do that all the time, too! It's comfy and practical and super-cute.

I do too, but mostly I wear patterned or opaque tights under skirt and shorts.

Back in the latter half of the 90's, I used to see girls wear mid-thigh skirts over dresspants(?), all black. That one was weird...
