Of course every film is aiming for an emotional response from their audience, but I feel like Pixar really overdoes it, if that makes sense. When I watch some of the Pixar films and a sad scene comes on, I feel like I'm being whacked over the head with a mallet or there's a little Pixar exective skipping in front of me with a sign screaming "FEEL SAD NOW."

I don't really see that, but okay.

I feel that way, especially during Jessie's Sarah McLachlan song in Toy Story 2. It's like the commercials with the puppies. CAN YOU TRY HARDER TO MAKE ME UPSET?

idk I get really emotional easily at movies and I like a movie that makes me sob and then gives me a happy ending. It's cheesy and dumb but I think it's refreshing. I don't watch Pixar for the incredibly deep and ingenious writing; I watch it for the fluff and the feelz.

different strokes etc.
