I haven't seen this movie, so I can't really speak for this fandom but...

Similar to you, I've been devouring comics in the last several months, and I have to say that I like ALL of the male Avengers (except for Hawkeye) more in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than I do in the comics. Black Widow is equally awesome in both though.

I hope you're reading the new Hawkeye series. Secret Avengers is only one comic in, but so far made of awesome. :-) I am so loving the comic version of Clint.

Just watching the movie, I had a feeling Captain America must be a really hard character to pull off consistently.

To be fair, Hawkeye was probably the worse in the comic books if not for his recent movie and cartoons rolls which made Marvel give him a spiffy new series where he's actually likeable and interesting.

The movies generally channel the characters in their most likeable eras.

A quick word of warning, don't delve too far back in Hawkeye's comics history if you want to keep liking him... it had some VERY ugly and very gross stuff going on. :(

I've heard that. He's not really a favorite of mine. I just love the new comic with him and have always, always loved Kate Bishop (I demand her presence if they ever make a Hawkeye film).
