Never mind that it was amuricans who came up with it and put it on in the first place. Such dumb people.

At first I was gonna call the OP a sore loser, but then... Pushing daisies.
Just... Pushing daisies. How do you justify that?

(Anonymous) 2013-03-08 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Pushing Daisies wasn't that good.

YEAH I SAID IT

(Anonymous) 2013-03-08 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed.

It was quirky but sort of bland. It would have worked better as a book or even a comic book.

It's an acquired taste. People I know can't stand it for the exact reasons that I love it.

I like the taste. It's really good at being arch and quirky and whimsical and yearning. It has an amazing atmosphere and I really love the way it combines quirky cuteness and sweetness, and a bit of tragic romance, and a bit of morbid darkness. The problem is, that's all it has. There's no there there. I don't think it could have been sustained for that long, and I think there's something appropriate, in a way, to it being short lived.

There's only so long they could have carried on Ned and Chuck's romance, I think it ended at a good time.

That said, I would totally watch a spin-off that focused on a PI team-up of Emerson and Olive. I loved their dynamic.

I agree but then again I think literally every show should have a spin-off where two characters work as private detectives

(Anonymous) 2013-03-08 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
^This would make a pretty great secret.

That was largely because of the writers' strike, to be fair, but I am still pressed as fuck, believe me.
