all I can say for certain is that they chose the actors based on their acting skills, not for their singing abilities

that said I really enjoyed Hathaway's singing, and I think she's a great actress - she's been acting for years and I'm glad she'll be taken more seriously now, regardless of the fact that I think receiving an Oscar isn't always about talent

the book and the play have always been a bit over-the-top, why shouldn't the movie be done in the same fashion? I enjoyed it because I'm a LesMis fan and I knew what to expect
I don't think it was a masterpiece, but I enjoyed it and I think the actors did a brilliant job with what they were given

it's one thing to dislike a movie but if you truly think this was one of the most boring films you've ever watched, you probably haven't seen that many movies
