Re: Shows you wish hadn't been cancelled

It's tough to pick, but I'm going to go with The Finder. I'm also probably the only person who watched The Finder, but whatever. It was a really good TV show. It was about a veteran, Walter, with a psychological compulsion to find things, and his lawyer buddy. And it was great. It was one of those shows with a lazy, breezy hang-out feel - a lot of the times, when you watched it, you just felt like you were dropping on Walter and the gang to hang out, having a couple drinks and enjoying the warm Florida sun. It had a great wacky sense of humor and wasn't afraid to do weird things. It told consistently interesting stories, in terms of the mysteries the lead solves, but also in terms of the lives the characters lived. It had really solid characterization - all the leads felt like real people, and in particular the romantic relationship between Walter and his US Marshal girlfriend just felt very adult and real and not Hollywood-sweet but also very functional. It had a great cast and it was just a completely fun show, and that's what I loved about it.

Of course, even if it hadn't been canceled, it probably wouldn't have lasted, because probably the standout actor from the cast was the late Michael Clarke Duncan. Soooooooo yeah. You were too good for this world, The Finder. RIP Mr. Duncan.

Also I have to mention Breaking_In (the reboot doesn't count, I mean an unruined Breaking_In) because I really liked that show before they brought it back and ruined it.
