Wow. I don't want to say when, but you sound a lot like me not that long ago in regards to the work/money/suicide situation. My savings were like my life line, and I was considering clocking out as soon as it hit zero. I even had an estimated date going by the rate shit was dwindling.

I don't know how proud you are, but please consider every option towards managing your financial situation. Odd jobs, overseas like has been suggested, shelters, whatever. Ask for help, whether it's a second look at your resume, applying to temp agencies, pulling any a
nd all fsvours. Try to see if you can manage two jobs. Maybe a graveyard shift.

Most of all, please don't merit your life according to status.

The job I have now is a graveyard shift job, but I can't work two eight-hour shifts in one day without falling asleep at one of them. I do want to find something for my days/nights off, or something that isn't a whole eight-hour shift, but I haven't had any luck yet.

I guess status bothers me in a sense, like... I really didn't think my life would turn out like this. But mostly I'm just afraid of ending up in a miserable living situation with no way out.

Double shifts are crazy taxing. Do you get the week on, week off style of shifts (like five days on, then five off), or any sense of regularity? At one point I did graveyards at a convenience store, and then other graveyards at a grocery on my days "off". Kind of a stroke of luck back then that they synced together.

any call centres you can try for padding income?

I probably sound like an ass with my questions, especially with this one, but do you think perhaps you are judging yourself too harshly, and overestimating your expectations?
