I know who she's talking about and quite frankly, I think the person who sent in the secret is butthurt WAAAAAAY to easily by the word 'No'.

I've seen far more meaner things said by artists on DA -especially in regards to the most asinine of things- and her artist comment is so unbelievably tame, it's stupefying.

The artist in question is indeed a very nice person and I don't blame her for putting her foot down and saying 'No', albeit in a fairly polite manner... well, when compared to everyone else, that is.

It's so sad that some people feel they're entitled to something -for free, I may add- from someone just because they're more talented/popular than they are. Oh well.

I also don't see why such a comment would ruin your perspective on someone so fast. Though I admit that liking an artist's work can be hard if their personality is utterly down the gutter, but I personally don't think this artist was trying to be rude. I think she was just trying to save herself grief and trouble. I just think sometimes people forget how harassed you can get on dA and on the internets for being able to draw or write or create anything.

I just wonder how nice a comment has to be to be "nice enough" for the fans.

I hate to break it to you, but I didn't even ask for the stupid shoes. They were really cool, but I don't ask people I don't actually know for stuff.

It wasn't so much the fact that she says "No commissions". That's perfectly acceptable! It was the way it was said. With the capitalizing of NOT and the 'personal friends' comment. Here's this giant group of people adoring her and she should have just been nicer about it.

A simple "Sorry, guys, I don't do commissions! Again, sorry!" You know? Being fed up over telling people "No" doesn't give you the right to be rude.

Weeeell, I don't really think she should be chastised for not profusely apologizing for not taking commissions. She said she doesn't take them firmly. The end. >_>;; It doesn't seem at all rude to me.

Then we'll agree to disagree. You don't have the same opinion on rudeness as me. I'm a bit more strict on being polite. I'm sorry.

Truce?

(If you think about it, it's why I did all of this anonymously. Because I think complaining about it would be rude. And I hate being rude.)

xD Fo' sure, Anoneh.

Being rude is not my style -- I'm too much of a net-pansy to start wank wars. :]]
