17. I think what you're talking about are just two different kinds of RP here, dear. Are prose RP fun? Sure. But frankly I never found one of those that lasted either. Attempting to get along with the plot bogged people down, they found it boring, they didn't have the time to arrange long comments, or they just couldn't fucking write prose.

I'm sorry you don't like 'comment war' RP, but it's not worse because it lacks length. People actually talk in short, clipped sentences, so if you take out all the naration, yah, you get lots of damn comments. Whether or not you have plot or developement depends on who you play with, not the method of the RP itself. And the only LJ RP I know of that is noticably hard to get into is CFUD, but that's due to the voting process. If you want a long application I think that RP, damned (?) had some pretty awesome requirements, it was also prose-style. I can't say for the quality of the writing tho, or for the developement, but considering the situation it throws the characters in, I expect there would be a lot of it, as it's a high stress type of thing. If the players are active and good you might enjoy it.

21. Whenever women bitch about the horrible portrayl of our gender in manga, I recommend Blade of the Immortal, which has some of the strongest, most realistic and well characterized female characters I've ever read. They still love men, in one of the cases you might even say need, but it's still a manga with love. So. Yeah. But they're realistic, intelligent and capable as well. The most kickass character in the manga is a woman and she rapes everyone naturally =\ but she's not really interested in killing =\

If you desire downloads, the whole thing is up at MangaTraders (http://www.mangatraders.com), but if yo like it I highly suggest buying. The translation is wonderful (actually, what is uploaded is mostly the translation, so it reads left to right) and the binding and quality of the hardcopy is great.
