The fact of the matter is that people often have a more fluid sexuality when it comes to media and fictional characters than they do in their "practical" sexuality. I'm not saying that it pertains to OP, but it may, and it may be pertinent for them to develop some Real World attractions first before going down that road.

I have had a few female attractions in the media, but I'm never attracted to the actresses. I am a homosexual man. I have Bisexual Character Tendencies. There is, for a lot of people, a disconnect between People and Characters. (Also when I think of the female characters I'm interested in, they're always somehow shifted imperceptibly to be male)

So OP should be true to themself and their feelings but perhaps shouldn't embark down a particularly stressful road without need.
