Re: question about trigger warnings

I had pretty much the same reaction to Flight and never would have seen it if even one of the previews I'd seen had hinted that it would be one drug abuse scene after another.

Drugs are a very common trigger and even if they aren't exactly a trigger for you, it's such a common thing to warn for that asking someone to add a warning or tag is perfectly acceptable and usually won't cause even the slightest problem.

I've requested people tag things I don't want to see before, like on Tumblr so I could use tumblrsavior, but my experience has been that requests like that are largely ignored unless the people involved are close. But my experience is limited to just a few fandoms on Tumblr and that might not be the case for everyone. There usually isn't any harm in asking.
