Re: Help losing some weight?

So? Buy some whole-grain bread and some low-fat cheese (if you like no-fat cheese, the more power to you), and some PAM (or a tbsp of oil) and make one. Be sure to calorie count and include it in your plan.

I cook Ore-Ida french fries (not the crinkle cut) in a pan w/PAM (not baked in the oven--just a pan on the stove top) and people swear they're just a good as the fried fries. They can't taste the difference and don't know it unless I tell them.

If you just want cheese, I think Weight Watcher's Hickory smoked cheese stick is good. It's only 50 calories and it's a reasonable size, I think. It makes a nice snack.

The key is to eat healthy(-ier)and keep portions reasonable. You can eat what you want as long as you plan for it. And if you chose unhealthy options all the time, you're going to be hungrier than not since you'll be have to eat less food to compensate for the high calories that comfort food has. Eat healthy most of the time (80%) and have what you want the other 20%.

Thank you! This makes sense, I think. We don't have the same stuff here than you in the US, but the stuff about counting calories and eating healthier makes sense.

It's not like I don't eat healthy at all - Almost all the food I eat is housemade, and I'm a vegetarian. But I depend a lot on carbs... and well, since I used to have a fast metabolism, I never cared about counting calories or eating low-fat things. That kind of stuff. And now I just can't :( Because the meds are screwing me over, and I'm hungry all the time.
