I would recommend Say Yes to the Dress for good boring TV, except that a lot of the families that come in tend to be busybodies, but you only see them for one episode each. It is a reality show about a high end shop that sells wedding dresses. That is all. Selling expensive pretty dresses that people will wear for one day.

If you want something slightly less shallow, Pitbulls and Parolees is a great reality show about a pitbull rescue center that exclusively hires paroled ex-convicts. There is far less drama than the premise would imply, as most of the guys are just regular dudes who need to get back into the job market (and Tina Torres does not hire violent/sex offenders, since she had teenage daughters when the center started). Good, often very heartwarming stories about making a dog rescue center work, with lots of redemption arcs woven in.
