There's also a Harry Potter fic that hasn't been updated in a year. I must have a thing with pregnancy fics, because Percy is missing after the ministry is attacked in Book 7, Arthur and Molly are on the outs and then Percy's pregnant girlfriend shows up.

And if you want to go really old school, there's the Harry Potter fic in which Harry disappears after touching a mirror and comes back a few minutes later seemingly no worse for wear. But what nobody knows is that he lived a lifetime in the mirror and is now mentally in his 30s and a warrior (who eventually was banging Snape after growing up -- this is the only Snarry fic I can stand). So he runs away, disguises himself and takes up a teaching post at Hogwarts while preparing to take down Voldemort and create a better world than the one he lived.
It began more than a decade ago and also hasn't been updated in 5 years, but I remain ever hopeful:
