You know, maybe she should stop calling other girls whores and sluts herself.

I was hoping this secret was about her slut-shaming other people. But nope, it's about poor poor Taylor. Won't someone think of Taylor, instead of all the people she's called out as whores?

Yes. Like I've never once seen someone slut shame her (call her a hypocrite, yes). But the amount she does, and the internal misogyny she projects is just disgusting.

Exactly. The worst is that she uses lesbian, gay, etc as insults. A lot of her fans like to use the fact that she changed the lyrics to the song about making up lies about an ex that they were gay to ruin them, was proof that she has "changed." More like she got a fucking agency with sense who MADE her change those lyrics. I am positive with how privileged and pandered to she is, her opinions on that have not changed.

This. Receipts, please. Most of the people I've seen saying SHE HAD IT COMING BECAUSE SHE DOES ALL THESE TERRIBLE THINGS can only produce as evidence: one (shitty and unconscionable) song lyric from the album she put out when she was 15, one (also shitty) song lyric from the album she put out two years ago, and one music video with ill-advised imagery where she was nonetheless playing both the "virgin" and the "whore". She's been in the public eye for about seven years at this point, and if that's all there is? Sure, she obviously has some stuff to work on, but it's NOT adequate reason to vilify her the way people do.

Country is also full of artists who have been publicly pro-gay rights for a long time, such as Leann Rhimes, Laura Bell Bundy, Dixie Chicks, Wynona Judd, Kristen Chenoweth, Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Chely Wright, and Kacey Musgraves.

I know you were probably using it as a pithy statement, but I thought it was worth mentioning that T Swift's gross lyric mention is thankfully not wholly indicative of the genre and there are some positive songs that have been used as gay anthems.

I'm honestly surprised, given that I was under the impression that the Dixie Chicks ceased to be a thing after they criticized Bush. Pleasantly surprised, but still.

While I agree that Swift herself is gross, that's not an excuse for slut-shaming. By all means, call her a hypocrite, or a misogynist, or immature, or homophobic; don't call her a slut.
